EVOLUTION I Ink Jet Printers
Competitive in price with contact style “roller coder” still in use, the EVOLUTION I is an economical solution that provides high resolution results with maintenance-free ink jet technology from Hewlett Packard. It can print one line of 1/2″ characters or two lines of 7/32″ characters, with additional fonts and sizes available as options. Ready to use out of the box, it arrives complete with built-in product sensor, handheld controller, mounting brackets and power supply. It is expandable with additional software packages. The EVOLUTION I ideal for companies who need an ink jet printing system with a low total cost of ownership.
EVOLUTION II Ink Jet Printers
Using the same Hewlett Packard ink cartridge-based technology as the EVOLUTION I, this ink jet packaging printing system looks identical to the EVOLUTION I, but incorporates additional software that extends printing capabilities and adds additional capabilities to your package printing. A WYSIWYG LCD screen makes operation even easier.
Additional features include:
- Bar Coding – Choose from eight of the most common barcode symbologies.
- Expanded Message Storage – Longer message lengths, too.
- Date and Time Coding – Multiple formats add flexibility.
- Sequential Numbering – Plus shift coding, product count, and more.
EVOLUTION I LX Ink Jet Printers
Similar in configuration, features, and cost to Digital Design’s EVOLUTION 1, the EVOLUTION I LX system uses Lexmark ink jet technology for lower overall ink costs. Capable of handling production speeds up to 240 feet per minute, it produces bold, very legible characters in 300 or 600 dpi resolutions. When ink is depleted in the ink cartridge, a new cartridge can be in place in just seconds. A break-away printhead prevents damage if a misaligned package contacts it. Resetting the printhead is easy: just snap it back in place. Additional printheads can be added quickly, using a dovetail mounting system built into each printhead. Each printer comes complete with all mounting brackets, a handheld controller and everything needed for installation and operation.
EVOLUTION II LX Ink Jet Printers
As with Digital Design’s Hewlett Packard-based EVOLUTION printers, the EVOLUTION II LX looks identical to the EVOLUTION I LX and offers all the same features, but it is fully loaded with all of the optional software optional software, barcode printing capabilities, and it can print up to four lines of type in a single pass.
